Our Team Members
Tommy Oliphint, Founder of One Advocate Group has focused his career on creating revolutionary processes in the planning environment that equip families and businesses to make conscious decisions.
In 1990 Tommy formed One Advocate Group after a successful career at Mass Mutual Financial Group. A teacher at heart and former educator, One Advocate Group was created out of a passion to change the traditional way planning had been done, specializing in collaborative financial planning solutions.
A Baylor University Bear, Tommy received a baseball scholarship, lettering for three years and completing his undergraduate degree. Upon graduation he was drafted to play baseball for the Cincinnati Reds.

Industry leader, Sara Neel joined One Advocate Group in 2012. She currently serves as CEO and President, driving value to the firm through her servant leadership style. Additionally, she is devoted to continually enhancing the client experience and relationship.
With over 15 years working in diverse trades, Sara has developed the unique perspective and insight to work with families and organizations of all sizes in varied industries.
Sara holds her MBA from Grand Canyon University, and is currently working towards her Doctorate. She donates her time to countless philanthropic causes, most recently serving on the Board of Trustees at The Children’s Shelter.

Chris Escobedo serves as Chief Operating Officer, bringing a passion for efficient state-of-the-art systems that continually keep the firm on the cutting edge and propel it into the future.
With over 20 years of experience working nationally and internationally in leadership roles, Chris has specialized in Information Technology, Human Resources and Network Operations, implementing enterprise solutions.
He has been an active volunteer with Junior Achievement, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner and a St. Anthony Catholic School Board member.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

David serves as Chief Investment Officer at One Advocate Group, bringing over 35 years of expertise as a veteran of the San Antonio finance community.
Prior to joining One Advocate Group, David spent 13 years as a Senior Trust Officer and Chief Investment Officer for a local bank’s Investment Management and Trust Division.
He received a BA from Vanderbilt in Economics and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
David serves as Chairman of the University Health System Pension Plan. He has been a CFA Charterholder for over 20 years.
Terri Tunnell serves as Sr. Executive Assistant to the CEO and President at One Advocate Group, overseeing client communication and acting as the liaison between resource partners and clients.
She brings 12 years of client relations expertise to One Advocate Group, where she is passionate about fostering relationships and delivering dependable client-focused service and solutions.
Terri is dedicated to the non-profit community of San Antonio, using her passion for decorating to remodel Women’s and Children’s Shelters. In addition to this, she and her husband mentor young adult couples.
Terri attended Sam Houston State University.
Reid Guthrie is dedicated to serving clients as a Planner at One Advocate Group.
Goal-based planning is a passion for Reid as he works with clients to create plans tailored to short and long-range financial goals. He brings a technological focus to One Advocate Group integrating cutting edge financial instruments into the planning process.
A graduate of the Financial Planning Program at Texas Tech University, Reid is currently working towards getting his CFP.
Jonathan has been dedicated to serving One Advocate Group clients for over 11 years as the Service Manager. He is committed to providing the highest level of customer service to clients, with a constant focus on client experience.
He has a passion for volunteering with select baseball organizations, including Little League.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
As Chief Development Officer for One Advocate Group, Dawn Southard serves as the lead in developing strategic and meaningful relationships. She engages with individuals and companies to understand where disconnects exist and aligns them with resources for financial and cultural success. Serving in leadership roles for the past 20 years, Dawn has influenced small businesses to the Fortune 100 in an array of industry sectors as well as nonprofit entities. Having served on multiple boards and nonprofit committees, she currently is engaged with United Way and other community causes.
Dawn holds her MBA from Western Michigan University and BBA from Davenport University.
